Are you thinking of changing your vehicle's tires or wheels for a smaller or larger size? Changing the size of the wheel or tire can prevent your vehicle's speedometer from showing you your real speed.
But how? Changing a wheel's size might change its diameter (the distance from one side of the tire to the other). A smaller wheel will have to spin faster to maintain the same speed. A larger wheel will turn more slowly.
However, your speedometer just measures how fast the wheel spins, so a smaller wheel that is spinning faster, will make the speedometer show that you are going faster than you actually are. The larger wheel spinning slowly will mean you are going faster than the speedometer states.
TireSpeed works with US and Metric measurement as well as showing all results in either MPH or KPH
TireSpeed uses easy-to-sliders and allows you to change the size of original tire as well as the option. Use a third slider to choose your speed and TireSpeed will show you what speed your speedometer thinks your traveling at.
Have fun with TireSpeed. Change any slider and see the results change in front of your eyes. The tires even change size to show you whether it is getting larger or smaller.
